Which credit cards do you take?
We take the major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard
and American Express.

What if I don’t have a credit card?
You may pay for your subscription by Western Union or Money Gram money transfer or by sending a money order in the mail. You may also pay by Direct Bank Deposit. To pay by these methods, go through the standard sign up procedure and select the appropriate payment method. You will then be given detailed instructions on how to send the payment. Your service will start as soon as we receive confirmation of the payment.
If you are paying by money transfer, money order or bank deposit for a renewal subscription, we must receive your payment before the expiry date to ensure that there is no interruption of service.

How secure is your payment system?
We use WorldPay as our internet payment gateway. WorldPay
is a part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and is a trusted
and secure world leader in electronic payments via the internet.
WorldPay offers the highest standard of security available
on the web today.

What guarantees do you offer?
We guarantee that every transaction made with your credit
card at our website is safe. This means that you are automatically
protected and insured against fraudulent use of your credit
cards and you will pay nothing if unauthorised charges are
made to your card as a result of ordering from this site.

What if I can’t log in to my account?
Ensure that you are entering your correct details without
any spaces. If a problem persists, you may need to check
the security settings in your browser. Setting the security
settings to “default” will normally correct any
browser issues. Before you make any changes to the browser
security settings, be sure to check with your system administrator
first.

What if I forget my username and/or password?
Go to the log in page and select the forgotten password
link. Enter your email address and your login details will
be emailed to you.

What happens if I enter the wrong password a number of times?
If a wrong password to your account has been entered too
many times, your account will be disabled for 1 hour. After
the 1 hour has passed, you may access your account.

Can I log in more than once at the same time?
No, you may only have one session active at a time. If
you attempt to log in more than once, you will be given the
choice of either cancelling the second log in or continuing
and cancelling the first log in.

How do I change my email address and/or contact details?
Use the My Account option from the Student Centre. You
may change your email address and contact details using this
option.

How do I change my username?
You cannot change your username. It must stay the same
for the life of your subscription.

What if my account expires?
You are able to purchase additional time in monthly increments for a limited number of months. You may do this before your account expires from the Student Centre. If your account has already expired, enter your correct login details on the login page and you will be given an option to purchase more time. Alternatively, send an email to our accounts department.

Can I upgrade from Standard to the Premium Plan?
Yes, if you have an existing Standard subscription, you can upgrade from the Student Centre. Upgrading to Premium gives you access to more tests and resources. Note it is better value to purchase a Premium subscription from the start rather than upgrade later.

What if I am not sure whether to choose General Training or Academic?
You should confirm with your advisors before selecting your study mode. General Training IELTS and Academic IELTS differ in important areas. Your study mode cannot be altered once it has been selected in our website.

Where do I get Scott’s English Success for iPhone?
The module is available for free download from the Apple App Store. You will need to ensure that you have enough memory available for the download. After download you will need your login and password to activate the mobile for use. You must have a Premium subscription to activate the mobile for use.

Can I purchase the Scott’s English Success iPhone module separately?
No. The iPhone module is available free with a Premium subscription and is not sold separately. If you have a Standard subscription, you can upgrade to Premium from the Student Centre.

How many iPhones can be used with my Premium subscription?
Only one device at a time can be registered for use with your subscription. If you change your iPhone and wish to register the new iPhone in place of the old, you may do so using the My Account option in the Student Centre. You may change your iPhone up to 3 times.

What is included in the iPhone module?
The iPhone module includes all Classroom lessons and some resources. Tests are not available on the iPhone due to the limited size and nature of the mobile device screen.

Does the module work with the Apple iTouch?
We do not recommend the iTouch, but users have advised us that it does work in most cases. To use the iTouch, access to the internet will be required via wifi to download the module and to logon to your account.

Do you support other mobile devices?
No at this stage the Apple iPhone is the only device supported. Other mobile devices are being considered.
What internet connection speed do you recommend?
We recommend that you have as fast a connection as possible
to minimise download time for site content, however the web
site will work quite well with a dial up connection. With
a dial up connection, allow for additional time to download
and buffer site content.

What screen resolution do you recommend?
Scott's English Success works best with a 1024 x 768 or higher
resolution. It will also work at a resolution of 800 x 600
but we do not recommend lower screen resolutions.
What additional software do I need to use your web
site?
We use Adobe Flash throughout the website for video
and audio presentations. The free Flash player can be installed
from the downloads area of the web site. You may also choose
to download other free software to view other optional components – eg.
Acrobat. Links to these viewers are also available from the
downloads area.
Before downloading any new software to your computer, ensure
that you ask permission or check with your system administrator.

Do you use cookies?
We do not store cookies on your hard disk. We do use temporary
session cookies which are stored in browser memory.
